Optical Mark Reader is a system which can read marks written in pen or pencil.

We have to darken the answer.
Reading of OMR uses the reflection property of light . Darkened places reflects less light.


Advantages:

It is very fast way to inputting the results of surveys.
Since there is no typing, it is more accurate than keying data.
OMR is more accurate than OCR

Disadvantages:

The forms needs to be carefully designed.
There can be problems if forms haven't filled correctly.
